Line 03 / Strategy and consulting

A plan is only worth the sourcing behind it.

Market and competitive research, a ranked view of where the revenue actually is, and a roadmap with dates on it — written to the same standard as everything else here: every claim numbered, sourced, and typed by how certain it is.

What the work produces

Four documents, in the order they have to be written.

Research before ranking, ranking before strategy, strategy before a roadmap. A roadmap written first is a guess with dates on it.

01

Market and competitive research

Who else is in the market, what they publish, what they charge where that is observable, and what they do not do.

02

Revenue opportunity ranking

The available moves, ordered by what they are worth against what they cost to make.

03

Twelve-month strategy

What to pursue, in what order, and what is deliberately not being pursued.

04

Ninety-day roadmap

The first quarter broken into work with dates, so the strategy has somewhere to start.

Every figure in these documents is either measured on a named source, labelled as an estimate, or labelled as a hypothesis. Where a number was not available, the document says so.

Why this sits alongside the other two

The research is the same research. Only the output changes.

The work that decides which merchandise fits an audience, and the work that decides which process is worth automating, both start by understanding the business and its market. This line is that step, sold as its own document when that is what is actually needed.

Next step

Tell us what decision the plan has to serve.

A strategy written without a decision behind it is a document nobody opens twice.

Scope and pricing are set on a written quote.
